Tyres that set
the standard
Every Komet tyre is the result of years of research, technical innovation and experience at the track. The aim is the same for each one: safety, reliability and performance for the most demanding drivers, on the most difficult circuits.

Wet tread
Water out.
Grip in.
The wet tread has been reworked to move water away from the contact patch quickly. Better drainage lowers the risk of aquaplaning and keeps the kart stable on wet asphalt, so the driver can commit to braking points and corner speed in the rain.
Compound
Grip and resistance in balance
High-performance compounds give a direct, safe feel at the wheel while holding grip over the life of the tyre. Each compound is matched to its class, from the hard K3H to the medium K3M.
Where the research goes
Five things
we work on
Rolling resistance
Lower rolling resistance means less energy lost in the tyre and more speed carried down the straight. It is one of the first parameters measured on every new construction.
Grip on different surfaces
Circuits change from country to country and from morning to afternoon. Komet compounds are developed to keep a wide working window across track surfaces and temperatures.
Performance in adverse conditions
From a damp line to standing water, the wet tyres are designed to stay predictable, so set-up and driving style are easier to adapt when conditions change.
Even wear, precise response
Advanced materials and production techniques give longer life and uniform wear, with a quick and precise response in every situation.
Tested beyond the rules
Every tyre goes through strict quality and performance tests. They confirm compliance with international regulations and with internal standards set above them.
Reading a kart tyre size
What the
numbers mean
Every Komet tyre carries its size on the sidewall. Here is the K3 front tyre, 10 × 4.60-5.
